Whether it be a simple set of lightweight wheels and sticky tires, or a full blown forced induction system, aftermarket parts allow an owner to customize their vehicle in a way that the manufacturer simply can’t. One of the easiest and most noticeable ways to modify your vehicle is with an aftermarket system. To that end, Kooks Headers and Exhaust just announced a 2019+ Ram 1500 exhaust system that’s sure to bring the noise.
Kooks has been building exhaust systems for racers and car enthusiasts alike since 1962, and their products speak for themselves. Known for their long tube headers, Kooks’ catalog includes parts for late model domestic ranging from the Dodge Charger to the Ford F-150. Despite offering exhaust systems for a number of Hemi powered Dodge vehicles, Kooks has yet to offer an option for the current 2019 Ram 1500 exhaust with that same engine. However, Kooks teased an upcoming header kit for the 5.7 liter V8 powered Ram 1500 Rebel just this week.
Shortly before that, Kooks announced an exhaust kit for GM’s T1 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks,
“There is no sweeter sound than Kooks headers on a Hemi,” Kooks said in a Facebook post, urging fans to “keep their ears open” for further details coming soon. While we aren’t sure if Kooks will be offering an exhaust system for the larger 6.4 liter Hemi found inside the likes of the Ram Power Wagon, we assume it is safe to say the teased headers will fit on all Ram 1500 models with 5.7 liter V8 equipped.
Based on the way that the Kooks systems sound on other Mopar vehicles, owners seeking to upgrade their 2019 Ram 1500 exhaust should be excited to have an option of their own. Expect a deeper, throatier tone with much more volume than the stock exhaust, and possibly a bump in horsepower to boot. Kooks exhaust systems are available to ship anywhere in the country, except for California where their products do not comply with emissions regulations.
