With the official debut of the 2021 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport models less than two weeks away at this point, information about the SUVs continues to trickle out. According to the folks over at the Bronco6G forum, Ford plans to open reservations for the larger Bronco model during the reveal event on July 13.
Forum administrators say that they have confirmed with their sources that Ford will open reservations for both the two-door and four-door Bronco models during the reveal event. Ford is not new to this type of launch, as a similar approach was taken during the debut of the Mustang Mach-E electric crossover. However, unlike the $500 price tag associated with the Mach-E, Ford Bronco reservation slots are reported to only cost a fully-refundable $100.

It is expected that the ordering process based off of these reservations will be similar to how things went with the Mach-E as well. Reservation holders will select a preferred Ford dealer during the reservation process, which they will later be asked to confirm or change when the actual ordering opens in December 2020.
We have no doubt that there are going to be a ton of people placing reservations for the reborn off-roading legend. The 2021 Ford Bronco is one of the most anticipated vehicles of the last decade, and a $100 deposit is a reasonable amount of money to ask for. When Tesla debuted the Cybertruck with a $100 reservation deposit, the company received 250,000 reservations within the first week. A Bronco reservation confirmation may not draw as much social media cred as the Tesla, but it’s clear that people are willing to spend that kind of money for the fun of it.

So if you fall in love with the 2021 Ford Bronco during the unveiling event on July 13, you will have the opportunity to slap a $100 down and reserve yourself a build slot. The SUV is expected to arrive to customers in April of 2021, and we expect a starting price around $30,000.
