If there is one thing that we all know about FCA, it is the fact that they love to roll out special edition models. Whether it be with a Dodge, Jeep, or Ram product, the automaker has a tendency to celebrate its heritage with frequency in the form of anniversary edition models. Well, thanks to some new reporting from HDRams, we now know that FCA will be rolling out a Ram Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition model for 2021.
First introduced all the way back in 1945, The Dodge Power Wagon is one of the most recognizable and sought after trucks ever built. Tremendously capable and as spartan as you can imagine, the original Power Wagon would go on to sell in its original form until 1957. When FCA rolled their off-road focused 2500 Heavy Duty model, giving it the name of a brand icon was not taken lightly. It is really no surprise then that Ram will be celebrating the Power Wagon’s birthday with this new special edition package.
The 2021 Ram Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition will include upgrades such as a unique “jail bar” grille insert, 17-inch beadlock capable wheels, Mopar rock rails with side steps, and an electronic transfer case. Visually you’ll be able to identify the truck by the 75th Anniversary badges found on the C-Pillar, as well as Power Wagon Decals on the front doors and tailgate. The LED headlights have also been blacked out for the 75th Anniversary Edition. Anvil and Molten Orange exterior paint colors will also join the options list exclusively for the new model. Buyers can still choose any of the standard paint options should they so choose.
The appointments inside this new 2021 Ram Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition are far more luxurious than those in its 1940s counterpart. Longhorn-based premium leather can be found throughout the truck, with 75th Anniversary badges embossed onto the front seats. There’s also some gloss black instrument panel inserts and a dark brushed aluminum radio surround to help nicen up the Ram. The package will also include the 12-inch Uconnect infotainment screen, which now features Off-Road Pages in the app cluster. Audio is provided by a Harman Kardon 17-speaker sound system.
According to the report from HDRams, The 2021 Ram Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition package will cost $5,920. While we’ll have to wait for confirmation from FCA, these dealer-sourced leaks have proved to be accurate before.
