As leaked but only rumored in January, dealers were just tipped on the upcoming 2022 Ford Bronco Heritage Edition, along with an even more exclusive Heritage Limited. According to the residual dealer guide sent to dealerships, the Bronco Heritage Edition will be introduced later in the 2022 model year lifecycle as a new trim level, which could slot in as the premium variant that replaces the one-and-done First Edition.
Little is known about these special Bronco trim levels, except for the order codes are as follows: E5G for the two-door version, and E5H for the four-door version. The 2022 Ford Bronco Heritage Edition, as well as the Heritage Limited, would be joining the lineup along with the highly anticipated Bronco Raptor and the winched up Bronco Everglades, making the 2022 model year an action packed one for Ford off-road enthusiasts.
2022 Ford Bronco Heritage Edition: What To Expect
The 2022 Ford Bronco Heritage Edition will likely come with the Sasquatch Package, which integrates 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler tires, as well as some throwback themes that take it back to the 1960s.
The Ford dealer residual value guide tells us the 2022 Bronco Heritage Edtion will be placed right above the Bronco Wildtrak, putting it where the First Edition model was for 2021. However, the residual value guide, per CarsDirect, states that Bronco SUVs in higher trim levels have shown to hold their value less than the regular trim models. As a consumer, you might want to keep that in mind when it comes time to put your bid in for a buy, or a lease. Also, you might want to remember, last year’s Bronco First Edition leases went for upwards of $1,000/month, above premium Land Rover models.
If you’re all about getting in one of these 2022 Ford Bronco Heritage or Heritage Limited Editions, you might want to start thinking about contacting your local dealer now. Even with the added trim options for 2022, they will probably go just as fast next year as they have been this year.
