2022 FORD BRONCO WILL COME IN A GREEN COLOR: CONFIRMED

Bronco Fans Have Been Asking For A Green Hue, And Ford Will Deliver

Most would agree the Ford Bronco has a pretty great color palette from the start. There are interesting grays like Cactus and Area 51, bright shades like Cyber Orange and Lighting Blue, and some more understated and sophisticated colors like Antimatter Blue and Rapid Red. Ford, however, is looking to change things up for the 2022 model year. We’ve already confirmed Ford will drop some Bronco colors and add some new ones from 2021 to 2022, but now we have our first confirmed color, and it’s some shade of green.

The news was confirmed in a Tweet by Ford’s Mike Levine, who has been giving many tasty details about the Bronco’s future recently. It was Levine that confirmed some colors would be coming and others would be going in 2022, after all. He also said this green would not be the same color as the Filson Fire Rig Concept, which is the sea foam pictured here.

We predicted a green may join the lineup in 2022 when news broke about a Ford Bronco Heritage Edition. A retro green from Ford’s back catalogue seems like a perfect fit for the new special edition. Others had the same thought, and replied to Levine’s tweet asking if the new green color would only be available on some trim levels. Luckily, he said the green would be “widely available,” so expect green to be on offer for most, if not every, 2022 Ford Bronco trim level.

Also buried in the Tweet replies was another bold word of advice from Levine. Someone asked how they can get to the top of 2022 ordering, presumably because they want the green color. Levine said, “Don’t order a 21MY. Your reservation timestamp will carryover to 22MY when those orders open.”

As exciting as the 2021 Ford Bronco is, the 2022 may be even better. While we are losing a the inaugural First Edition model, 2022 will bring the Heritage Edition, Warthog and new green color. From Levine’s Tweet, it sounds like reservation holders that still haven’t ordered a Ford Bronco by the time 2022 orders open will hold their place in line among other reservation holders that didn’t order a 2021 model.

Getting confirmation of the green color adds yet another reason to consider waiting until the 2022 Ford Bronco, and we can’t wait to see how the SUV develops over time.
