The Roush Super Duty is back for the 2022 model year with a new Atlas Blue color available. A small update, yes, but the deeply engineered pickup truck still aims to be one of the most imposing road machines you can buy. This is thanks to several modifications to the body, interior, and performance worthy of the Roush name found on various parts of the truck. The package can be had on either the 2022 Ford F-250 or 2022 F-350 Super Duty.

2022 Roush Super Duty: Details

Besides trading in Lithium Gray for Atlas Blue on the color wheel, it doesn’t seem like Roush has made any further design changes from the 2021 model, which is largely unchanged from the 2020 model. It still has the injected-molded ROUSH Grille with integrated dual LED light bars, an aggressive front bumper cover, and color-coded fender flares with accent lighting. The fender flares provide a wider stance for the truck giving a more aggressive appearance. In addition, “ROUSH” branding is located across the truck inside and out with the signature American Flag decal.

In terms of performance, the truck still offers the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel V8 on both the 2022 Ford F-250 and 2022 Ford F-350 based trims providing 475 horsepower and a whopping 1,050 pound-feet of torque. In addition, the trucks feature a nitrogen-charged aluminum body coil-over Roush/Fox 2.0 high-performance suspension system with tuned performance springs and 6061-T6 aluminum rear shocks with internal floating pistons. Furthermore, the front has a two-inch lift to level it, improving the ride quality and off-road capability. Along with the other upgrades, the Super Duty comes equipped with 20-inch satin black ROUSH wheels and 35-inch General Grabber AT/X tires. Notably a different tire set than the Goodyears found on the Ford Super Duty Tremor, and thus should handle with a slightly different character on the road and off.

The towing capability remains the same from the factory, and upgraded slotted rotors and pads allow for improved stopping power. The Roush performance DPF-back exhaust increases airflow to the 6.7L diesel engine and gives the truck a more aggressive tone.

As for customization options for the 2022 Roush Super Duty, the black and silver Roush hood accents are complimentary, while black and silver rocker graphics are $550. The Black bedside graphic is $550, and the silver power stripe graphic is $750. The interior has an available Premium Roush Leather package that is $1,800. According to the official configurator, there are only two accessory add-ons: A console vault that is an additional $400 and a Roush off-road utility kit that is $250.

The 2022 Roush Super Duty starts at $14,900 USD on top of the donor truck, and has a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, just like the 2021 Roush Super Duty. You can configure one at your leisure right now.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
