2023 CORVETTE Z06 COLORS MAY HAVE BEEN TEASED IN VIDEO

Chevrolet Might Be Placing Easter Eggs In The C8 Z06 Hype Videos

2023 C8 Corvette Z06 Color Colors Racing Yellow

With the 2022 Corvette Stingray production underway, it not only means fresh content and packages for the C8, but it also means that we’re that much closer to the introduction of the all-new Z06. Destined for the 2023 model year, the All-American Supercar is set to debut late next month. And it looks like Chevrolet is planting some easter eggs within the teaser videos for the Z06, including what could be upcoming colors. Specifically, a recognizable yellow that mirrors the C8.R.

The flat-pane crank 5.5L DOHC LT6 V8 engine for the Z06 could be the most powerful naturally aspirated production V8 engine ever, as it is expected to produce between 610-620 horsepower. Since the architecture of the engine is currently being tested in the IMSA Championship-winning Corvette C8.R, it won’t be surprising if the debut showcases both vehicles.

Former Corvette Racing Program Manager Doug Fehan coined the term “cascade engineering,” which describes how each update to the streetcar results in a better race car, which creates a better streetcar. This appears to be evident with the 2023 Corvette Z06, as it will most certainly put the Corvette closer to being a race car than ever before. Or as Rossi put it, “a race car with a license plate.” The video uploaded on August 20th, which seems to have subtle, yet not-so-subtle secrets.

2023 Corvette Z06 Colors Theory

Within the video, crossed-flag logos appear on the screen at both the 0:08 and 0:13 second-mark with a combination of curious colors. These hues may very well be referencing the 2023 Corvette Z06 colors, and it might not be far-fetched to theorize that Chevy is teasing new chroma for the Z06. We hope it’s the case, because it’s painfully obvious that the current C8 color wheel is missing Corvette Racing Yellow, which appears to be a particular shade that one of the cross-flag graphics. Fingers crossed.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.

  1. The Mercedes 2014 SLS AMG BLACK SERIES has a 622 HP/631 PS naturlly aspirated V8, So for GM to grasp that brass ring, 625+ HP would be a good place to start. The Huracan has 631 HP/640 PS so to me the C8 Z06 should have 650+ HP, as the Huracan might get 650 PS/641 HP in a special edition(The Ford GT has a “TT” 3.5L V6 with 660 HP(maybe a simular weight), so I didn’t include is as direct rival but it’s still a consideration).
