Sightings of the Ford F-150 refresh have been popping up with the expectation to arrive for the 2024 model year. That meant that it would be sometime in late 2023 that we would get the unveiling of the refresh for America’s favorite vehicle. Apparently, the unveiling will happen today, September 12, at 8 p.m. Eastern time. If you want to watch the reveal live for yourselves, Ford will be streaming the entire thing on its YouTube channel. 2024 Ford F-150: What To Expect
Accompanying this announcement was a short teaser video posted to Ford’s Instagram page, showcasing close-ups of the front and back of the truck, making it difficult to see exactly what Ford has done to the truck for the refresh. Meanwhile, the side profile appears to be the same. If we pause the video at some key points, we can get a pretty good idea of what’s to come, especially when paired with other sightings we’ve reported. Both can help paint an even greater visual of the 2024 Ford F-150.
As seen in the trailer, the refresh will feature redesigned taillights that better reflect what’s seen on the F-150 Lightning. We can also see that the grille and headlights have been modified. At the beginning of the video, we can see the daytime running lights plainly through the kicked-up dust. The corners are essentially the same, though the internal elements appear different. Of course, some changes seen in the video and with other sightings will differ based on the trims. The truck we see in the video features lots of chrome accents, thanks to it being the platinum trim. Meanwhile, it’s believed that the 2024 F-150 Tremor will receive a defined amber front marker/blinker light reminiscent of the current one.
As for the F-150 Raptor R refresh, the grille will be redesigned with a bolder mesh design behind larger Ford lettering. Additionally, the front bumper will be slightly slimmer at the ends, and vertical slits replace the mesh motif in the center. Everything seems the same at the back as the current version, minus the refreshed taillights. We can also expect the refreshed 2024 F-150 Trucks to receive some of the technologies and features from the new Super Duty, though the powertrains won’t be changed. What’s more? We expect a new multifunctional tailgate to debut with this 14th-generation F-150 update.
