If you’re looking for more noise from one of the new Chevy Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD trucks, MBRP has you covered with a new cat back exhaust system that is designed to bring out the V8 noise of the 6.6 liter gas engine. It sounds great, and doesn’t break the bank. Take a listen below.
The exhaust really does what it intends to in the sound department. A big, powerful truck needs a strong sound that conveys that. But GM heavy duty trucks like the Chevy Silverado HD High Country and Sierra 2500 HD Denali are competent highway cruisers, so they also shouldn’t have an exhaust that drones on the highway.

Luckily, MBRP’s exhaust delivers deep V8 bellows under acceleration, but is relatively drone free on the highway. It’s a great way to personalize your truck without being too obnoxious to yourself and others.
The exhaust is a direct bolt on cat-back unit that uses all factory attachments. This allows for easy and quick install. Because it maintains the catalytic converter, you don’t have to worry about emissions either. The exhaust is mandrel bent and made from rust-resistant T-304 stainless steel. For $543.52, it seems to be an excellent value.
This system makes for an excellent upgrade for the GM heavy duty trucks, which have all recently been updated with new packages for 2021. The Chevy Silverado 2500HD gets new Z71 Sport and Z71 Chrome Sport editions that give a more aggressive exterior styling. Most interesting is the Carhartt Special Edition, which gives styling touches in line with the clothing brand.
The GMC Sierra 2500HD gains a few notable packages too. The SLT trim adds a Texas Edition, while the Denali Black Edition gives blacked out styling to the usually chrome-filled Denali.
Get one of these new special editions from Chevy or GMC and add MBRP’s new exhaust, and you can have just about the best heavy duty truck you can ask for.
