Dodge is bringing back its popular, and very cool, Power Dollars program for 2020. Available with the purchase of any 2020 Dodge Charger or Challenger, customers can get $10 cash allowance for each horsepower. The best part is the more power you get, the more you save. Dodge says this is their way of welcoming people into “The Brotherhood of Muscle.”

Despite being old cars, with the Challenger dating back to 2008, interest has soared for Dodge performance cars. The Challenger outsold the Camaro in 2019, placing second behind the Mustang.  The Charger had its best sales since 2013, with 96,935 vehicles sold. The Challenger doubled its sales from when it was first introduced, with over $60,000 vehicles sold. The Charger and Challenger sold a record combined 84,216 vehicles in the second half of 2019 alone. The stat we like most of all, however, is that Dodge sold 33 million horsepower in the same time period.

Dodge hopes to build on that in 2020 with its Dodge Power Dollars program. Starting March 3, customers who buy any 2020 Dodge Charger or Challenger can earn $10 in cash allowance. 2020 models are just hitting dealers now, so while it’s unusual for a brand to discount new vehicles so quickly, it’s nevertheless welcomed. For reference, below is a chart to show how much you get back for each model:

You may notice something missing this time around. This is because the Dodge Durango has been left out of the 2020 Power Dollars campaign. But not to worry – there’s plenty of good Durango news in the works.

Dodge also claims to have record high social media engagement, with 11 million followers across all platforms. 5 million come from Instagram alone. Dodge is also launching its new #TheMuscleBehindUs campaign to share the stories of their loyal fanbase. Dodge has seen impressive growth in both sales and fan base, so it is great to see them giving back to existing and new customers with the Power Dollars campaign.
