The 2024 Ford Mustang has 12 color options for customers to choose from. While that’s a significant number for customers to decide which one they prefer, it just comes down to which shade of blue or gray they like best, outside of the two red and one yellow options. But, if you want to make your S650 Mustang stand out, Ford offers an all-new way to personalize your ride with the car’s first-ever factory, Matte Clear Film.
2024 Ford Mustang Matte Clear Film: Details
The Matte Clear Film option will give the Ford Mustang a stylish satin-like finish while offering added protection to the car’s paint. The Matte Clear Film is available on all 2024 Mustang coupe models from EcoBoost to Dark Horse and in all factory paint colors, with the first deliveries slated to begin in June. If you plan on getting a convertible, don’t fret; you’re not getting left behind, as Ford will make the option available for Mustang convertibles in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The Mustang Matte Clear Film joins other personalization options, including wheel choices, interior colors, contrasting seatbelts, and factory-painted brake calipers. The Matte Film option is a product of PPG and is designed to withstand harsh detergents used at hand or touchless car washes, as well as road salt, bird droppings, bug splatter, and asphalt residue. Sounds like it’s pretty resilient stuff. Customers who order the Mustang Matte Clear Film for the Mustang Dark Horse will not get the standard Hood Accent Stripe or be able to select the painted Racing Stripe. The option is also unavailable with the GT California Special package or the optional graphic packages for the EcoBoost and GT. Graphic delete will also be a standalone item on the Mustang Dark Horse for customers who prefer a more under-the-radar appearance.
Available to order starting February 27, the Ford Mustang Matte Clear Film option is priced at $5,995 and comes with the same 3-year/36,000-mile factory warranty that applies to all 2024 Mustang cars.
