The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is a special, special muscle car. With a high-revving flat plane crank V8, manual gearbox and exquisite driving dynamics, there’s really no other car like it on the market today. And there may never be again, considering Ford is canceling the Shelby GT350 after this year. Perhaps to reconcile the loss of one of the greatest drivers cars of the modern era, Ford Performance is now offering their Certificate of Authenticity Package for the 2015-2019 Mustang Shelby GT350 and even more scarce GT350R.
The package includes an official Ford Performance Certificate of Authenticity, VIN decoder, production summary chart, poster, tri-fold brochure, certificate sleeve, track tips, window sticker, a brake rotor and caliper business card holder, and a Cobra logo keychain. Some of these accessories were offered with the Owners Supplement that came with the GT350 when it was originally sold. This makes the package may be especially appealing for owners of used vehicles that may not have gotten the extra goodies when they bought their Mustang second hand.
These muscle cars are bound to be future collectables, so having this package may be a good idea. That said, Ford says the kit will be offered in limited availability. But it’s definitely on the affordable side, as it only costs $129. This could even make it a great gift for a family member or friend with a 2015-2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 or GT350R as we enter the holiday season. Certificates of Authenticity are also available for a wide range of other Ford Performance vehicles, past and present. S197 Mustang models like the Shelby GT500, Boss 302 and Bullitt are included, as well as the F-150 Raptor, Focus RS, Ford GT and most of the early 2000s SVT models.
