Picking right up where they left off earlier in the week, Jeep has just rolled out a new set of teaser images relating to the upcoming Grand Wagoneer SUV. Whereas the Grand Canyon related post earlier didn’t contain any sheet metal, Jeep has upped the ante today. Published across the Jeep social media channels, these two new images give us our first glance at the SUVs badging and interior treatments.
The first of the two images posted by Jeep is a partial photo of the new Wagoneer badging. While we can’t say for certain that this is either a Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer present in the shot, the aforementioned post from earlier in the week leads us to believe it is the Escalade-rivaling model on display here. The badging itself has a real vintage vibe to it, with a script that looks as if it came right out of the 1970s. Furthermore, there is an awesome American flag that has been incorporated into the design as well, should you have forgotten where the seven-bar grille comes from.
This retro theme is certainly not continued in the second teaser image, which focuses on the upcoming SUV’s ignition button. A quick peak around the rest of what we can see of the interior hints towards the presence of a well-appointed cabin. There’s some wood accenting on the dash, and the rumored bezel-less infotainment screen appears to be in its place as well. Overall the Jeep Grand Wagoneer looks like a properly luxurious place to be.
With production of the range-topping SUV slated to start during the second quarter of 2021, we expect that more Grand Wagoneer information and teaser will continue to trickle out in the coming weeks. It likely won’t be too long now before we meet the second iconic SUV to be brought out of retirement to start the new decade.
