The new Ram 1500 RHO is apparently not the replacement for the legendary supercharged Hemi-powered TRX, which will end production this year. If you’ve seen the short film “The Convoy,” a theatrical reveal for the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, you might have missed a subtle easter egg in the film, which hinted at the arrival of an even more potent Ram 1500 on the way.
Ram 1500 Reveal Easter Egg: Details
The Easter Egg in question pertains to one of the dirt bikes seen in the video. The other bike wears 540, which is a nod to the 540 horsepower twin-turbocharged I-6 engine in the new RHO; the other is blank. According to motor1, Jeff Summers, head of advertising for Ram, shared a post explaining the video in detail and stated that the bike “has a number intentionally left blank for the next Ram High HP vehicle with three letters.”
That means Ram has another truck on the way, likely an off-road-focused machine that will presumably have more power than the RHO. Ram has clarified that the RHO isn’t a replacement for the TRX, but a new offering. Brand CEO Tim Kuniskis even stated that the TRX name would be “on the shelf for a little while.” The name could be used in the future, so perhaps that’s what this eludes to: a more powerful offering on the way, potentially a new TRX, though what sort of power it has to offer and how it makes that power remains to be seen.
Interestingly, Kuniskis stated that the Dodge Challenger name would also be on the shelf but not necessarily dead. It’s clear it won’t be returning anytime soon, thanks to the new Dodge Charger having a two-door offering. Perhaps this is just Kuniskis navigating the choppy waters as the two brands move away from the winning formula of Hemi V8 power and into the uncharted territory of electrification. There are, of course, other easter eggs within the video, but we’ll leave it up to you all to find them. For now, be aware that a more powerful Ram 1500 is on the way. It could carry the TRX name, but then again, it might not; all we can do is speculate, theorize, and wait.
