S650 Ford Mustang Reveal: Details
The celebrations leading up to the debut have been going on for over a week now. Ford collaborated with America’s Automotive Trust and the Detroit Auto Show on a cross-country adventure with all six generations of Mustang, The Drive Home. The event started on September 6 at LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington. The Drive Home to The Stampede crosses nine states, plus more than a dozen stops. The final leg of the journey will see owners gather at Ford World headquarters on September 14 ahead of the reveal, to parade together as part of The Stampede driving convoy, which will have over 1,000 Ford Mustangs in attendance.
While The Drive Home is already underway, Mustang owners can still participate in The Stampede event as Ford has confirmed that there isn’t any cap for The Stampede. Registration will remain open through September 14, meaning enthusiasts looking to drive to the S650 Mustang reveal will continue to grow in number.
The S650 Ford Mustang will be the seventh generation of the iconic American pony car, which also holds the world’s best-selling sports car. So one can see why the new Ford Mustang reveal is such a significant moment.
