It’s no secret that Jeep owners are friendly towards one another, often giving each other a little wave as they pass on the street or the trail. However, it seems that comradery has taken flight over the last few years as many in the community now are known to “duck” each other’s vehicles to show appreciation for their rides. Jeep is taking that new tradition further by bringing the world’s largest duck to the Detroit Auto Show. Duck yeah!

Jeep Detroit Auto Show: Details

This year will be the first-ever indoor/outdoor Detroit Auto Show at Huntington Place & Hart Plaza, and Jeep owners and enthusiasts will have the chance to take pictures alongside the world’s largest duck and receive their own rubber duck to keep or gift (while supplies last) during the event’s first weekend (Sept. 17-18) while checking out the Jeep brand’s vehicle lineup in downtown Detroit.

The “world’s largest duck” is six stories tall (61 feet), 69 feet wide, and 79 feet long. It weighs more than 8,000 pounds and will be on display in Huntington Place Square during the entire event. In addition, fans can post photos across social media channels with the hashtag #duckduckJeep to get in on the fun and potentially win prizes. Consumers will also be able to sample three Jeep brand-inspired “dessert-rated” ice cream flavors created in partnership with Detroit’s Milk & Froth Ice Cream. The flavors – Snazzberry, Electric Lemon Custard, and Trail Tracks – will be handed out during the first weekend of the auto show while supplies last.

Additionally, the popular Camp Jeep and Ram Truck Territory indoor test tracks will debut at the Auto Show. These interactive test tracks are sure to be fan favorites. Lastly, attendees who register to participate in any Stellantis experience at the Detroit Auto Show are automatically entered for a chance to win a $100,000 voucher for an eligible Jeep Brand vehicle from Stellantis. A winner will be randomly selected in 2023.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
