Shelby American has just issued a “last call” to honor the company’s founder with a commemorative truck dubbed the Centennial Edition Ford Shelby F-150 Super Snake. The stunning truck, which honors Carroll Shelby, was introduced on Friday, September 29, during the annual Team Shelby Bash in Las Vegas. Only 100 of the four-door 800 horsepower 2023 Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition Super Snakes will be built, making these extraordinary.

Centennial Edition Ford Shelby F-150 Super Snake: Details

Carroll Shelby had a long history with performance trucks and SUVs; he experimented with and built various models. That interest led to many influential truck programs, including the newest edition. The offroad-oriented Shelby F-150 Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition is based on the 2023 F-150 Lariat 4×4 with the 5.0-liter SuperCrew configuration. That means the trucks come standard with 400 horsepower, though adding a supercharger to the V8 engine is possible, which doubles the power up to 800 horsepower. The truck features heavy-duty suspension and an underbody built to handle the street with a Shelby by Ridetech Suspension System featuring adjustable Fox coilover shocks and new upper control arms up front. In contrast, Fox adjustable Shocks, a new sway bar, and track bars keep the rear under control.

The interior of this particular truck has been completely redesigned to elevate the ownership experience with style, comfort, and utility. The truck has black stitched black leather covers with Centennial Edition logos, “race red” lighting, the official Shelby serial number, and Shelby floor mats. Each truck has deep tinted windows and a ram-air-style hood to keep the interior cool. 100 four-door Centennial edition trucks will be built for the US market. As for the starting price, customers should expect to shell out around $127,995 for the naturally aspirated version and $136,995 if they want the supercharger. Luckily, these trucks come with a three-year/ 36,000-mile warranty, which also covers the powertrain, which is always a nice touch when modifying the engine.

Each Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition Super Snake F-150 includes membership in Team Shelby, the worldwide club established in 2008, and will be eligible for documentation in the official Shelby Registry. The package consists of the same style of black Stetson hat that Carroll Shelby wore. If you’re interested in purchasing one of these 100 trucks, they are offered through select Ford dealers in North America. Individuals interested can visit their local dealer or the Shelby website.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
