Shelby American has just unveiled the 2023 Shelby F-250 Super Baja, a truck built to make every mile, for work or play, feel like an adventure. Combining Ford’s impressive 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel with a Shelby-tuned advanced off-road suspension system, the three-quarter-ton pickup has off-road capabilities, advanced technology, and superior handling. Time will tell if this truck can give the Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2 Bison or the GMC Sierra HD AT4X AEV a run for their money off-road, but with only 300 of these vehicles to be sold, we doubt we’ll be seeing much of them off the pavement.
Shelby F-250 Super Baja: Details
The Shelby F-250 Super Baja is based on the world-class truck proudly assembled at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake. The Shelby team carefully developed their version of the four-wheel drive vehicle. FOX Factory – Performance Vehicle Development team designed a new suspension system that increases the ride height, delivers more travel, and improves off-road handling. The Shelby F-250 Super Baja wears 20-inch allow wheels bearing BFG KM3 37-inch tires, with a pair of spares mounted on a steel chase rack in the bed.
The Shelby F-250 Super Baja also features a functional Air Induction Hood with an extraction vent, powder-coated steel front and rear bumpers, tow points, air flow vents, and LED lighting. Features include a new front grille, painted fender flares, XL power steps with rock sliders and lights, bed liner, tinted windows, and powder-coated exhaust tips. Of course, the ever-important exterior Shelby stripes and badges around the vehicle ensure everyone knows this isn’t your standard F-250.
Naturally, with just 300 of these refined heavy-duty trucks available, the MSRP will start at $154,995, including a Lariat Ultimate 4×4 Ford F-250. The truck will come with a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty, and the powertrain warranty from Ford remains intact. The trucks can be obtained through select Tuscany and Ford dealers across the United States. Lastly, each will be documented in the official Shelby Registry.
