Depending on your personal style and taste, the discontinuation of the Cadillac Escalade EXT pickup in 2013 was either wholly-understood or wildly disappointing. In many ways, the late Escalade EXT was a catalyst for luxury trucks we know today, offering the utility of a crew cab pickup with a top-tier Cadillac interior. Go figure that there are some people who continue to romanticize in the thought of a Cadillac truck. As a proof point, this custom Cadillac Escalade pickup truck is not some design rendering, but an actual Chevrolet Silverado retrofitted with Escalade exterior bits.

A Love Letter To The Cadillac Escalade EXT
The chopped-up and beautified truck comes from a shop called Dom’s Garage Miami. The Florida party town location makes complete sense, as the beach city is known for its aftermarket customization although the process usually occurs on people, but normally not on trucks. Even if you were never a fan of the Cadillac Escalade EXT, which was essentially, which was a more expensive version of the Chevrolet Avalanche, it’s hard to deny that the truck doesn’t look half bad. Looking past the oversized wheels, thin tires, and lowered suspension, the design lines from the front bumper of the T1 Escalade flow nicely onto a T1 Silverado body.
According to the Dom’s Garage Miami Instagram page, the custom Cadillac Escalade pickup required a lot of custom fabrication, which isn’t that surprising. A quick scroll through the comments told us that quite a few people were happy to see the front end of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado get “fixed”. It’s also hard to deny that the front end of the 2021 Escalade is completely menacing and carries a lot of authoritative road presence.
This custom truck makes us wonder how a real, modern version of the Cadillac Escalade EXT would do in today’s market. Pickup trucks, especially those that can be optioned through the roof with luxury options are quite popular at the moment. Let’s not forget that the 2021 Cadillac Escalade was the second most popular new vehicle on the market last month.
We’re just saying, Cadillac. This kind of thing might just be crazy enough to work.
