Today is Bronco Day, as the fan-favorite off-roading nameplate marks its 55th birthday. To celebrate, Ford has released some serious cool Bronco concept vehicles packed with accessories, including a few Bronco Sport models as well. This Bronco Sport TOW RZR is Ford’s interpretation of a compact toy-hauling 4×4.
The Bronco Sport TOW RZR takes the already impressive cargo capacity of the small SUV and cranks it up a notch with the help of some Yakima hardware. Adding some space to the roof is a Yakima OffGrid medium cargo basket riding on Yakima HD Bar crossbars. The cargo basket is more than capable of bringing along the standard outdoor adventure gear, as demonstrated by the Marmot duffle bags and YETI Tundra 45 cooler Ford has strapped to the roof.

However, the Bronco Sport TOW RZR gets its name for a more obvious reason. This concept SUV features the Ford Class II Trailer Tow Package, which brings towing capacity to 2,200 pounds. This is enough for the SUV to pull the Alumna 6810 lightweight trailer and Polaris RZR XP Turbo 1000M pictured, giving the family access to two off-roading toys on every journey.
As the Bronco Sport TOW RZR is based on the range-topping Badlands Series, it is a capable machine in its own right. Powered by the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, total output is rated at a best-in-class 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. Ford’s eight-speed automatic is the only gearbox available, which can be controlled via paddles mounted to the steering wheel. The truck also features an upgraded all-wheel drive system complete with a twin-clutch rear-drive unit and locking rear differential.
The Bronco Sport TOW RZR is a great example of some of the 100+ accessories that Ford will be rolling out when the SUV hits the market, though we wouldn’t bet on being able to order a Polaris RZR through your Ford dealer.
