If you missed the chance to get ahold of a 2022 Yenko/SC Chevrolet Silverado, or even the off-road variant, worry not, the updated 2023 version is here, and Specialty Vehicle Engineering has once again made the trucks available to purchase. So if you’re looking for a sport truck designed for the streets or something to take off the beaten path, there’s a high horsepower truck for everyone (who can afford it).

2023 Yenko/SC Silverado Update: Details

The ultimate hot rod truck by Specialty Vehicle Engineering will see a new addition to its engine options for 2023. The ultimate sport Chevrolet Silverado is now available with a 550+ horsepower 5.3L engine. Additionally, a 650+ pony 6.2L is also available if you’re not looking to have the big guns. But, of course, it wouldn’t be a Yenko/SC Silverado without the 700 and 800 horsepower options. The high-performance SVE 2023 Silverado is available in 2023 2WD or 4WD crew cab and double cab LT, LTZ, RST, and High Country models with either a short or standard bed.

The 550+ and 650+ HP Yenko/SC Silverado options utilize the stock engine but include the same high-output superchargers used on the 700 and 800-horsepower models. Since these options don’t feature an entirely rebuilt engine, they are likely cheaper as well. As usual, only 50 of each 2023 550+ to 800 HP supercharged Yenko/SC Silverado lowered pickups will be built, so if you want one, head to your local GM dealer ASAP.

As for the 2023 Yenko/SC Silverado Off-Road models? They, too, will be getting the new engine options, widening the power range for the special trucks and making them more affordable in the process. However, this trim is only available on 2023 4WD crew cab and double cab LTZ, RST, ZR2, and LT Trail Boss Z71 models equipped with a 10-speed transmission. The short bed and standard bed remain available for the customer to choose from. Like with the sport truck, only 50 of each 2023 550+ to 800 HP Silverado Off-Road pickup trucks will be built.

No matter what engine option or model the customer chooses, each will be equipped with a custom horsepower designation badge on the hood insert and tailgate, which should give even the uninitiated a pretty good idea of the performance of the unique Chevrolet Silverado.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
