2024 JEEP WRANGLER SEES A PRICE HIKE, STILL UNDERCUTS FORD BRONCO

The V8-Powered Rubicon 392 Saw The Biggest Price Hike

New 2024 Jeep® Wrangler Willys

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler gives the SUV some much-needed updates to keep it competitive with the Ford Bronco regarding tech and safety features. Way back in June of 2023, we covered what the pricing would look like for the refreshed SUV, and unsurprisingly, it looks like those numbers are subject to be changed as the 2024 Wrangler is seeing price hikes anywhere from $200 to $4,050, with every trim witnessing some form of an increase. The destination charge is also increasing by $100, now at $1,895.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Price Increase: Details

Here are the sums, including the destination charges:

  • Sport – Two-Door: ($200) $33,890 – Four-Door: ($700) $38,390
  • Sport S – Two-Door: ($200) $37,390 – Four-Door: ($100) $41,890 – 4xe: ($800) $52,590
  • Willys – Two-Door: ($200) $41,390 – Four-Door: ($700) $45,890 – 4xe: ($800) $57,330

According to Autoblog, the picture becomes much more evident when comparing the current pricing with the 2023 model. The two-door Wrangler Sport started the 2023 model year at $2,000, which is less expensive than it is now, and the destination fee was just $1,595 then. Meanwhile, the four-door was $2,630 less expensive. That said, the Rubicon 392 is seeing the most significant price increase over last year, almost $12,000 more than at the beginning of 2023. Though, that’s a price many will have to pay for a vehicle that is one of the last to feature the Hemi V8. As for the other price increases, it’s important to note that you’re paying for an updated version of the Wrangler with a slew of added features; ultimately, it’ll be up to customers to determine if it’s worth it.

Though these prices are much higher than they used to be, compared to the Jeep Wrangler’s top rival, the Ford Bronco, it’s still a more affordable option for an off-road-ready SUV. For example, the starting trim for the Ford Bronco is the two-door Big Bend and its MSRP currently sits at $41,025, which is a $7,135 price difference. That said, the top-of-the-line Bronco is the four-door Raptor, which costs $91,930; that puts the Rubicon 392 at $1,510 more, but for that added cost, you’re getting a Hemi V8 at a time where V8 engines are leaving the stage which might be worth paying extra for.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
