There are significant benefits to airing down tires when taking a vehicle off-roading. Of course, it’s essential not to air the tires down so much that the bead slips off the wheel. Additionally, it’s important to air up the tire before hitting the road once again because while the traction may be significantly increased off the beaten path, fuel mileage will be reduced on the pavement, not to mention tight turns at higher speeds also can result in a very sour end to your day. Luckily, Ford Performance has just released a solution to the need to air up after fun in the dirt or sand, and that’s a Ford Bronco Air Compressor Kit, made in partnership with off-road experts ARB.

The Ford Performance by ARB Bronco On-Board Dual Air Compressor kit features under-hood mounting, which makes it super convenient to access instead of having to find the compressor and fumble with plugs to start airing up. The kit includes the ARB twin compressor, switch, manifold, and bracket. The bracket is 100% bolt-on and uses factory mounting points. Additionally, they will support both 2.3L and 2.7L engines. The blue air inflation hose with a quick press fitting and air chuck should make things quick and easy.
The ARB Ford Bronco On-Board Dual Air Compressor will set you back $1,200, but once installed, it’ll likely be one of your most used modifications to the popular SUV, especially if you go off-roading and air your tires down. Having the convenience of always being there and the speed of two air compressors pumping air into your tires sounds lovely.
It’s important to note that while this compressor is convenient with a simple bolt-on solution for installation, it doesn’t fit the Ford Bronco Evarglades or Raptor models. Hopefully, Ford Performance has something coming for those particular models since we’re sure those will be used on rougher terrain far more than other Broncos in the lineup.
