The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition makes an already incredible pickup truck even more amazing by giving it the proper color for shredding it in the sand. To help prove this point, Ram gave Ken Block a new and unreleased version of the truck. So naturally, he takes it to its limits and sends the 702 horsepower truck through Johnson Valley. Spoiler alert, the truck gets dirty.
The 2022 Ram TRX is a supercar built for dirt, also known as a supertruck. The interior is luxurious and keeps the passengers nice and comfortable while the truck flies down a dry lake bed at over 90 MPH. Ken Block doesn’t hold back with his testing of the truck as he takes it over small dunes, kicking up sand and sliding around. Another test Ken Block gives the TRX is its ability to handle donuts, and he managed to put the truck on two wheels for a moment while spinning around. By the end of the testing in Johnson Valley, Ken Block is proud of the Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition, and although it’s noticeably dirty, it doesn’t look too far off from the paint job the truck comes with.
2022 Ram TRX Sandblast Edition: Details
Aside from the unique Mojave Sand exterior color and graphics, the Ram TRX Sandblast Edition is equipped with unique 18-inch all-black bead-lock capable wheels, which get swapped out by Ken Block in the video. In addition, the dual-pane panoramic sunroof helps give the truck an even more spacious feel. Meanwhile, a spray-in bed liner comes standard, so customers don’t have to worry about damaging the bed the moment they use it.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of the TRX Sandblast Edition starts at $100,080, including the $1,795 destination fee. So if you’re keen on buying this truck, be ready for some hefty payments. The newest edition of Ram’s TRX will go on sale this summer.
