Jeep is taking the beloved two-door Wrangler to another level for the 2024 model year. The brand has announced plans to upgrade the legendary SUV’s capability with a new Xtreme 35 Tire Package, offered for the first time on the new 2024 Wrangler Rubicon and Willys two-door models. This is something that Ford Bronco owners have been enjoying for a couple of years now, but with the Wrangler threatened on multiple fronts from lots of competition these days, it was only a matter of time before Jeep stepped it up.
2024 Jeep Wrangler 2-Door Xtreme 35 Package: Details
The Xtreme 35 Tire Package first debuted on Wrangler four-door in 2021, enabling customers to add a common capability upgrade straight from the factor. It also kept the Jeep Wrangler competitive against the Ford Bronco, which has the Sasquatch Package. In addition to best-in-class break-over angle, equipped with the Xtreme 35 Tire Package, the Wrangler Rubicon and Willys two-door models deliver uncompromising approach angle, departure angle, ground clearance, and water fording capability:
- Approach angle – 47.2 degrees
- Breakover angle – 32.4 degrees
- Departure angle – 40.4 degrees
- Ground clearance – 12.5 inches
- Water fording – 34 inches
Pricing for the Xtreme 35 Tire Package comes in at a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $4,495; the package includes:
- LT315/70R17C (35-inch) BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires
- 17-by-8-inch beadlock capable wheels
- Swing gate reinforcement
- 4.56:1 axle ratio
- 1.5-inch factory suspension lift with uniquely tuned shocks
That means you’re not just getting bigger tires when equipping the two-door Wrangler with this package. That said if you’re looking at getting a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X two-door model with the 2.0-liter turbo engine (which has a starting price of $64,190 (including destination)) the Xtreme 35 Tire Package comes standard.
Customers can now order the Xtreme 35 Tire Package for the 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine Jeep Wrangler Rubicon two-door model. Later this quarter, the package will be available for the Jeep Wrangler Willys two-door model. Production at the Toledo Assembly Plant in Ohio will start this March.
