JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON 392 ISN’T LONG FOR THIS WORLD

A Leaked Document Shows That The Super Jeep Is On Its Way Out

Over the past year, Stellantis has been gradually killing off its Hemi V8 products one by one. Starting with some Jeep products, which silently dropped the engine option, followed by the 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger. 2024 is the final year to get a Hemi-powered Ram 1500 TRX and the Dodge Durango. The future looks bleak for the Hemi, and the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is no exception. Even though there haven’t been any announcements, its time is coming; that much is clear.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition On The Way?

An alleged leaked document posted on JL Wrangler Forums suggests that the Rubicon 392 will soon leave the stage with Jeep sending the legendary SUV off with a Final Edition-branded trim level. The document was written by Jeep and sent to the top 50 stores in three regions. Their goal is to sell more of a given model in January 2024 than in January 2023, with the potential to win one stock allocation for the Rubicon 392 Final Edition.

Though nothing has been officially confirmed by Jeep, the trend that Stellantis has been following suggests that this should be believed. We can expect the Wrangler 392 Final Edition to be a limited-run model with a higher price tag, a unique paint job, wheels, and decals—options to ensure that it would stand out as something extraordinary over the other Rubicon 392 muscle trucks.

That means that if you want to swipe up a Hemi-powered Jeep Wrangler, you will want to act soon, as time is running short. After it leaves the stage, the best option for a high horsepower, high torque Wrangler will be the 4xe hybrid, which isn’t a bad option, but the Wrangler 392 stands out even among other Stellantis products with this 6.4L pushrod V8. It’s by far the rowdiest, loudest representation of the Hemi family, delivering a raw experience that even the Scat Packs can’t compare to. Take those doors and that roof off, and it’s amplified even more.

Now, even if the Hemi V8 makes a comeback in the future, it’s likely that the High Output Hurricane engine will arrive in the JL Wrangler before that happens.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
