Sure, there are plenty of options to choose from, but you’re looking for a capable off-road vehicle. Something that would dust the F-150 Raptor and/or Ram TRX out on the dunes or on the open space like Johnson Valley. Look no further than the Blacklake XT-1 Supercharged Chevrolet Silverado, which is now available to reserve. Oh, and the company has since reduced the starting price from a quarter million, to $200,000 USD.

Blacklake XT-1: A Lingenfelter Supercharged Off-Road Silverado

The Blacklake XT-1 takes a standard-issue Chevrolet Silverado and upgrades it to be one of the greatest pre-runner-inspired trucks we’ve ever seen. Blacklake put a lot of thought into the design of the vehicle, replacing parts such as the fenders and bed but keeping an OEM-quality finish throughout. The bumpers are reinforced with steel composite and include shackle mounts. Meanwhile, almost everything has been re-engineered under the truck to create a competent off-roader that can be just as comfortable on the pavement—giving customers confidence when exploring off the beaten path.

Since GM won’t build a supercharged Chevrolet Silverado, Blacklake took that project into their own hands for the XT-1. Mating a Magnuson-Lingenfelter TVS2650 Supercharger to the Silverado’s stock L87 6.2L V8 engine. Altogether, horsepower gets boosted to an impressive 650 ponies matching that of the LT4 V8. In addition, the Blacklake XT-1 has an assortment of accessories to make your adventures a walk in the park. These accessories include a Warn Zeon platinum 12S wireless remote winch, AMP Research power step running boards, and Blacklake and SPOD 8-channel solid-state accessory control.

The XT-1 bridges the line between your everyday Silverado and a pre-runner trophy truck. All of its features seek off-road superiority beyond that of the Ram TRX and F-150 Raptor while maintaining a comfortable interior that usually doesn’t make its way into trucks that feature this level of capability.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
