A NEW TOYOTA TACOMA TRD PRO TEASER SHOWS OFF SHOCKS AND TIRES

Upgraded Brakes And Suspension

2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Teaser

An all-new Toyota Tacoma is on the way. While the reveal date remains unclear, the company has continuously launched teasers to show off the highly anticipated new truck and bring up the hype. As the Toyota Tacoma is the most popular midsize truck in the United States, it’s arguably one of the most anticipated truck debuts for the year. The newest teaser from Toyota gives a closer look at the ultimate TRD Pro trim, which will go head to head against the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 and Ford Ranger Raptor.

2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Teaser: Details

The last teaser of Toyota’s flagship off-road Taco detailed that a hybrid powertrain would be on the way, possibly the same I-Force Max found within the Toyota Tundra, which produces 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. As for the newest additions to the Toyota Tacoma teaser train on social media, we’re shown a black wheel with a very similar style to the current TRD Pro. Unsurprisingly, it wears a grippy all-terrain tire, and behind the wheel, we can see a disc brake.

The outgoing Tacoma still features drum brakes for the rear wheels, even on the pricey TRD Pro model as it stands. This means Toyota is making a significant change to the stopping power of the upcoming Toyota. As for the second teaser image, we look at the truck’s front suspension. Sitting amongst the axle shaft and tie rod is the Tacoma’s Fox QS3 shocks. In the general off-roading world, QS3 shocks are adjustable with multiple settings, but details on these specific shocks have yet to be revealed. However, they feature TRD Pro branding, so it’s a safe bet that Toyota-specific engineering is at play to take the new Tacoma’s capabilities a step further.

There’s also a new trim confirmed in a previous teaser called the Tacoma Trailhunter, which is a new trim to the lineup, and likely could be comparable to a Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss. This trim will emphasize overlanding adventures, Toyota has had the name on their “Upcoming” page on the site for months now, and it remains unclear whether it’ll slot above or below the TRD Pro. Likely, we’ll see a range of Trailhunters spread across Toyota’s lineup in the future.

We expect the 2024 Toyota Tacoma to debut in the very near future, hopefully in the coming weeks.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
