The Ford Ranger is undoubtedly a capable off-roading vehicle. One seldom talked about as the Wrangler and the Bronco hold most of the off-road glory. Recently, Ford has released an off-road front bumper for the 2019-2022 model co-developed with the engineers at ARB. We originally saw this bumper upon the debut of a special Ford Performance Level 3 kit for the midsize Ranger, where we went on to sample the package off road shortly after.

Ford Ranger: ARB Off-Road Bumper Details

Perhaps you’ve done a bit of damage to your Ford Ranger front bumper, or maybe you simply want to switch it out with the intention of improving the approach angle. Whatever the case may be, the new Ford Performance by ARB Ranger Front Bumper might be the best solution for you. It offers an OEM level of fit, finish, durability, and vehicle integration and re-uses the factory fog lights so that they won’t need to be replaced. Additionally, the bumper has been tested and validated to OEM crash standards for extra peace of mind.

The only real catch for this Ranger modification is that it’s not compatible with vehicles equipped with adaptive cruise control and park aid sensors. However, installation is easy for the customer as it requires the dealer to install. Pricing for the bumper comes in at $1,545, which may require a bit of saving up to purchase but could be well worth the investment in the long run if you plan on taking your truck out for some challenging adventures.

The current generation T6 Ford Ranger returned to the United States in 2019 as other automakers had reintroduced their mid-size pickups with success. However, for the consumers, full-size trucks were becoming too big for some, and the current-generation truck has been pretty successful since returning to American soil. With the introduction of the next-generation Ranger, 2022 will be the final year of the current and dated generation of the Ranger. The 2023 Ranger will ride on the same platform as the Ford Bronco, which means it’ll be a competent vehicle off the beaten path.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
