During this year’s virtual SEMA360 event, Ford did not have the same presence that we’ve grown accustomed to over the years in Las Vegas. Ford fans need not worry however, as the automaker hasn’t just decided to take 2020 off from building awesome concepts. Instead they’ve decided to host their own event this evening to show off their SEMA creations. One such vehicle is this highly modified Ford Ranger Tremor.
This new Ford Ranger Tremor build leans into the growing popularity of off-roading and outdoor adventures. Designed specifically for the most hardcore of outdoorsy folk, this midsize pickup is able to bring all your necessary equipment along. In order to outfit the truck for this task, the automaker looked at their own Ford Accessories and Ford Performance Parts catalogues. Not only does this decision help to highlight the capability of the stock Ranger Tremor, but Ford’s own commitment to offering customers the type of accessories they want. Ford says that the truck is capable of getting its occupants to even the most remote of trailheads, while carrying a mountain bike, a kayak, and all the necessary gear for such a jam-packed excursion.
Outside of a few teaser images, Ford Motor Company has been coy with information related to this Ranger Tremor build. That is likely because they want viewers to tune into the debut event this evening, hosted on the Ford YouTube channel. We’ve gone ahead and attached the video down below, but you can also click the link here to tune in. The livestream is slated to begin at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Ford has had a hold of the off-road pickup market since the first-gen Raptor made its debut. And while there is more competition in the midsize segment, this new concept may help to show off their impressive parts catalogue. In a year that has been dominated by the need to stay away from others, buyers just might be interested in what this truck was designed to do.
