The J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS) rankings have just been released, and Stellantis has performed exceptionally well, with its brands Dodge, Ram, and Alfa Romeo dominating the rankings. Out of the 33 brands in the study, Dodge secured the top, with Ram closely behind and Alfa Romeo tagging along. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Dodge has been ranked among the top two brands, which serves as a testament to the brand’s goals of delivering excellence and customer satisfaction.

J.D. Power Quality Study: Stellantis Takes Win With Dodge

The study is based on data provided by new buyers who have owned a new vehicle for 100 days, though some brands might not choose to have their cars participate in the study (like Tesla), which results in an unofficial ranking. That’s not the case for Stellantis, with Dodge emerging as the J.D. Power 2023 IQS leader. This demonstrates Dodge’s consistent dedication to producing precisely what customers want.

Ram ranked second, importantly above its rivals Ford, Toyota, GMC and Chevrolet. This year, the brand climbed 16 places to secure second place in the study. This marks the third time Ram has ranked in the top three since 2020, another nod to creating exceptional quality vehicles that customers seek. Ram continues to make lasting impressions on customers, and it has yet to have plans to back down with the Ram Rampage‘s imminent arrival along with a Ram midsize truck in the coming years.

Taking the third position on the J.D. Power 2023 IQS is Alfa Romeo, which is known as a luxury brand under Stellantis. This means the brand moved up 24 places over last year. It also finishes first among all the premium brands in the study. Though Jeep didn’t rank in the top five, it rose from its previous position. Last year Jeep scored in 23rd place, but this year it has moved up to 19th place, with the Jeep Gladiator ranking at the top of the midsize truck segment.

This is an impressive jump and only further highlights the commitment from Stellantis when it comes to improving its brands and products and providing customers with the best ownership experience it can.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
