HENNESSEY’S VELOCIRAPTOR 6×6 HAS STARTED PRODUCTION

The Ford F-150 Raptor R, With Even More Hyperbole

Hennessey VelociRaptoR 6x6

Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle creator Hennessey has recently announced full production for its ‘VelociRaptoR 6×6’ supertruck. This absolute monster of creation utilizes a third-generation Ford F-150 Raptor R as its foundation, though with an extended boxed frame and a second, fully functional, locking rear axle.

Hennessey VelociRaptoR 6×6: Details

The Hennessey VelociRaptoR 6×6 features Live Valve Fox dampers along with a three-inch lift, which raises the body in preparation for Hennessey’s custom 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 37-inch off-road tires, which look pretty small on this truck thanks to the modifications. Lastly, an expansive 8-foot load bed replaces the stock 5.5-foot bed, increasing cargo capacity by over 45 percent, making this the perfect truck for towing, hauling, or anything, especially with the added axle, which gives the truck around 50 percent more traction when locked.

Complementing the mechanical upgrades, Hennessey has given the VelociRaptoR 6×6 new front and rear bumpers, LED off-road lights, and Hennessey VelociRaptoR badging. Of course, we can’t forget about the epic engine Ford designed for this magnificent truck, which Hennessey has decided to leave just as it is. That means 700 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque, which is still plenty of power to ensure the commanding 6×6 dominates both on- and off-road. However, since this beastly machine is nearly 27′ long, roughly 7′ tall, and 7′ wide with a curb weight of around 6,500 pounds, we’re still trying to picture this thing casually sitting in a parking lot somewhere.

Customers can source a new Ford Raptor R and send it to Hennessey for conversion or purchase the turn-key vehicle from Hennessey directly. Hennessey prides itself on the quality of its vehicles and has decided to give the VelociRaptoR 6×6 a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty. If interested, you can either visit Hennessey Performance’s website or head over to an authorized Ford retailer to inquire about this absolute monster of a truck.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
