LATEST RAM 1500 BUILT TO SERVE EDITION HONORS FIREFIGHTERS

This Special Edition Truck Starts At $46,625

After a run of models honoring the armed-forces, Ram has announced the second phase of its Built to Serve Edition trucks, which will be dedicated to firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical service providers. The first installment celebrates the firefighter community. Each of the three primary first responder services will be honored by Ram with two specially selected, unique low-volume exterior paint colors that evoke that service’s spirit, mission, and history.

Unique Paint, Interior Details

The firefighter-inspired Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition is offered in Redline and Diamond Black exterior colors, with a black interior and orange accent stitching. Other unique interior and exterior features that set them apart include a United States flag and a Built to Serve decal on each rear quarter panel. In addition, the Built to Serve trucks get stylish exterior cues, including a unique treatment consisting of an all-black grille and surround, black-bezel premium lighting, black bumpers, and 20-inch aluminum wheels with a unique-to-the-edition Technical Gray finish. Body-color wheel flares also work to accent the exterior along with black badges, black wheel-to-wheel side steps, and dual four-inch black exhaust tips.

The inside of the Ram 1500 Built to Serve trucks represent each of the three primary emergency services, accented with unique corresponding color stitching, which is why the first installment built in honor of the firefighter community features orange accent stitching. These new Ram models are also ready to display their owners’ first responder pride with Built-to-Serve embroidered Velcro panels on each front seat. Additionally, Velcro panels are located on each front seat inboard shoulder panel, allowing customers to apply their own patches to personalize their Built to Serve truck. Additional equipment can also be equipped to the truck with the front seat panels, Pouch Attachment Ladder System/Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment (PALS/MOLLE) webbing.

The Ram 1500 Built to Serve Editions also feature a “Built to Serve” instrument panel badge along with Deeply bolstered performance cloth and vinyl sport seats, Black Onyx Chrome interior trim, and all-weather rubber slush mats. In addition, all Built to Serve models are equipped with 4×4 Off-Raod Group content. Packages are available on Big Horn models and all body styles and powertrains.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
