The 2024 Ford Ranger is on its way to U.S. showrooms this summer, and when it arrives, the Ford Ranger Raptor will be part of the lineup, a truck exclusive to other markets until now. The Ranger Raptor offers plenty of performance in stock form thanks to a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 pumping out 405 horsepower and 435 lb-ft of torque. But, some people might want more, which is where Hennessey comes in.

Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 Ford Ranger: Details

Hennessey Performance has developed a way to further boost the power of the 2024 Ford Ranger in the form of its 2024 VelociRaptor 500 Ranger upgrade. As the name suggests, the upgrade takes power up to the 500-hp level, which it achieves via a high-flow intake, a larger intercooler, and engine management software. The mechanical package is the same as what’s found in Hennessey’s VelociRaptor 500 Bronco upgrade for the Bronco Raptor. However, since the Ranger Raptor is lighter than the Bronco Raptor, the result should a more agile truck, relatively speaking.

Also included in the upgrade are a blow-off valve, custom bumpers, LED driving lights, Hennessey’s 18-inch wheel design wrapped in 35-inch off-road tires, and body graphics. The interior features “Hennessey” embroidered headrests, custom floor mats, and a numbered build plaque for authenticity. The Ford Ranger Raptor retains its 10-speed automatic and all-wheel-drive system, locking front and rear differentials. The 2.5-inch Fox Live Valve internal bypass shocks also remain untouched.

Though Hennessey has unveiled the 2024 VelociRaptor 500 Ranger, it’s still under development, with an expected delivery start within the fourth quarter of this year. Regarding pricing, customers of the 2024 Ranger Raptor will be looking to spend an additional $24,950 on top of the $56,960 the truck already starts at. So, you’ll be shelling out at least $81,910 for this upgraded Ford Ranger Raptor, which is closer to the base price of the Bronco Raptor.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
